What is the VITAL ADVENTURE ?
- VITAL ADVENTURE is an Eco-Groupe of Lao Youth Travel. We concentrate on the tours through Laos, especially, the north. Our Tour beginns and ends in Luang Prabang. , combining touring with tribal visits, trekking and kayaking
- Today Laos is officially known as the Lao People's Democratic and is home of many ethnic groups. So you can discover about 49 minorities. Each ethnic group has its own distinct customs and life style. Most villages are situated in the deep and wonderful rainforest in the north of Laos and can only be reached and visited by trekking. Vital adventure doesn't only concentrate on ethnic group villages, but also focuses its importance on Eco- Tourism. Our tours reach the pure and beautiful scenery of northern Laos. Vital Adventure has many optional tours for all people such as: Best and experienced kayak teams, unique tour programs in the north and East of Laos like the combination Tour with tribal trekking and kayaking along Nam Ou river. Our motto is "visiting without destroying", that's why we travel in smaller groups. If you don't care for modern hotels, luxury restaurants, etc...the reality of Laos ethnic living and nature in the north of Laos is for you! A special tour we offer is Trekking to Muang Ngoi. What you sohould bring?
- Insect repellent. Sun cream.
- Towel, trekking shoes, Sandal.
- Sleeping bag, Flash light and photographic equipment.

Tourism supports education:
Most of the small villages in Northern Laos are situated deep in the country and have no connections to rivers, let alone roads.
Due to their isolated geographical situation the children in these hamlets have no chance at all to get even the most basic form of education: there are simply no schools!
Vital Adventure sees it as a major responsibility to help those villages whom we are trekking to. For us tourism is not a one-way road but a venture profitable for both sides.
In that respect we are closely working with our German partner organization "Die Bambusschule e.V." This is a non-profit organization which builds primary schools and boardinghouses for children of hilltribes in remote areas. It is a main principle of this German foundation to plan all activities in agreement with the villages involved, every step of the process is discussed with the elders and the parents, the actual work done by the villagers themselves.
When trekking to these villages in small groups our guests not only get a close impression of the daily life but also support the education as part of their fees are used for teachers wages and school material.
